Summits

Ashoka Southeast Asia and its partners have organized 2 summits to connect women leaders and entrepreneurs with an ecosystem of allies - corporates, government, NGOs, the academe, etc. Through these panels, important conversations are facilitated to spotlight steps that can be taken to create more enabling environments for women across Southeast Asia.

In partnership with S&P Global Foundation, Ashoka spearheaded a regional study on Advancing Women Social Entrepreneurs in ASEAN to learn and celebrate the work of over 100 women social entrepreneurs across Southeast Asia. It was launched through an online summit on August 13, 2020. The event featured speeches and panel discussions by leading women social entrepreneurs, female leaders, and advocates of the movement across the region.

Through this gathering, Ashoka, S&P Global Foundation, and Deutsche Bank brought together a series of conversations with over 20 leading changemakers to join us in catalyzing systems change through women’s leadership by rethinking narratives on the invisible power of women, partnerships & collaborations, capacity-building, communication & storytelling, well-being, and building the next generation of changemakers.
